RTCW 2 FAQ

Q: is there really a RTCW 2 coming?
A: A new Wolfenstein game was officially announced on 5th October 2005.

Q: Is it really RTCW 2?
A: It's "the next chapter in the Wolfenstein universe", apparently. RTCW fans are generally taking this to mean a proper sequel to RTCW, and generally eliminating Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory from the equation. The whole RTCw to Enemy Territory thing is a little complicated, and it is known for certain that "Enemy Territory" is now being considered a new line of games by id Software and Activision (Enemy Territory: Quake Wars for example has been stated to "have nothing to do with Wolf" by id, and ET:QW is based in the Quake universe).

Q: Who is making RTCW 2?
A: As with RTCW, and as originally intended for Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory, there are seperate developers for the single and multiplayer sides of the game.

Raven (who also developed, amongst others: Quake 4, Jedi Knight II, SoF 2 and Hexen) are developing the singleplayer game.

The multiplayer is being made by Nerve (who also developed, amongst others: RTCW MP, RTCW for Xbox, DOOM 3: Resurrection of Evil).

id Software is again "executive producer", while Activision is the publisher.
